Australian grown brown rice retains the bran that surrounds the kernel, making it chewier and richer in nutrients. Complete milling and polishing of white rice can affect the vitamins in the grain. Only the outermost layer, the hull, is removed in brown rice during the stone ground milling process, avoiding loss of nutrients.
