What is contained in an organic mixed box?
Each of our fresh produce organic mixed boxes contains a mix of great, fresh produce that is currently in season. The boxes rotate items during and across the seasons so you get to try a great variety of different fresh produce.
We offer organic mixed boxes which contain both organic fruit and veges (our Classic and Big Classic boxes), just organic fruit (our Fruit Fantasy Box) and just organic veges (our Eat Your Greens Box). Click here for more details.
What if there are certain organic fruit or organic veges I never want?
If there are any items you never want (most households have a few 'never eat' items!), simply let us know and we will substitute another fresh organic seasonal item to the same value. You can let us know either via your customer profile in the registration process, or via the ‘special instructions’ part of the order process. If in doubt simply call or email. Fresh organic produce this good should never be wasted so make sure you let us know those exclusions!
Which is the best organic mixed box for me?
That depends on the size of household you are shopping for, and how much organic fruit and veg you use each week. Even household sizes can mislead, as a healthy, vegetarian house of 2 can sometimes need more than another family of 5! Click here for more details.
As a very general rule, a household of 1-2 may want to start with our Classic Box, and larger households may want to try our Big Classic. Households who eat a lot of fresh organic fruit and veg may try the combination of our Fruit Fantasy and Eat Your Greens. But as we said, it’s very hard to generalise!
How often does the mixed box arrive?
Our mixed boxes are designed to be a convenient, stress free service. Once you have found the box that suits you from our four boxes of fresh, seasonal organic fruit and vegetables (Classic, Big Classic, Fruit Fantasy, Eat Your Greens), you can select how often you would like to receive your delivery... weekly, fortnightly or simply as a one off delivery. Hence, if you choose a regular, recurring delivery, you don’t need to re-order via the internet each week. It becomes a “set and forget” way to receive your regular fresh produce needs.
Can I add extra items to my regular organic mixed box?
Absolutely, many of our customers do just this. Given the variety you find week to week in the boxes, if you want certain items every week, let us know and we will add a standing custom order to add it to your box. This could be a couple of avos, a clove of garlic, some extra bananas or a broccoli…just let us know.
Equally if you wish to add some staple grocery items to your mixed box each week (such as eggs, cheese, milk, yoghurt etc) then this can be done. Just tell us once and it will come each week (or fortnight as you have selected) with your box.
What if I am going away or don’t need organic food that week?
Simple…just send us a quick email to info@organicfood.com.au or call us on 02-9967-9967 or 03-9818-8606. Then let us know how long you want to suspend the service for, and we will recommence after that.
