Healthy Baked French Fries
French fries don't need to be a junk food, they can be healthy too. Potato is a carb, but when prepared in a healthy way, can provide you with energy, vitamins and minerals.
A lot of the goodness is found just underneath the skin of the potato. It is therefore a good idea to give the potatoes a good wash as leave the skin on before you prepare.
Ingredients
5 potatoes washed
himalayan sea salt
olive oil
Method
Slice the potatoes into finger shapes. Boil water and put the sliced potatoes into the boiling water with a pinch of salt. Boil until they are semi soft (this will make the baking time shorter). Drain and spread them onto a lined baking tray. Sprinkle with olive oil and a little salt.
Bake at 180 degrees for about 30 minutes or until golden brown, toss and bake for another 10 minutes.
