Grasses that are found in pastures include Buffel Grass,
Mitchell Grass, Blue Grass, Flinters Grass, and Panic Grass. There are also many non-grass plants found in
pastures, including legume foliage such as alfalfa, vetch, sainfoin and birds foot
trefoil as well as red, white, and crimson clover. Depending on the season and
region of the country, 100% grass fed cows consume a mixed variety of these
plants, along with other naturally occurring vegetation.
