Muffin Recipe: Ingredients
- 1 cup unprocessed bran
- 1/2 cup ground linseeds
- 1 1/2 cups wholemeal self-raising flour
- 1 teaspoon mixed spice
- 1 1/2 cups chopped pitted dates
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- 3 tablespoons canola oil
- 1/3 cup golden syrup
- 1 1/2 cups soy or dairy milk
Muffin Recipe: Method
- Place unprocessed bran, ground linseeds, flour, spice, dates and sugar into a large bowl
- Combine egg, oil, golden syrup and milk in a bowl.
- Pour liquid ingredients into dry ingredients, then mix gently until just combined.
- Spoon mixture into lightly greased muffin tins.
- Bake in a moderately hot oven for 20 minutes. Serve warm
