Kiwi Fruit

Kiwi is a highly nutritional fruit.  Kiwi is an outstanding source of vitamin C.  It provides more vitamin C than an orange and more fibre than an apple.  Amongst many other things, Vitamin C helps to boost resistance to disease. 

Even when the kiwi is stored for a few months, it retains most of its vitamin C content.  They are best eaten when they are firm, but not rock hard.  They should give way slightly to pressure and are best peeled just before eaten. 

Nutritionally, kiwis are best eaten raw. Kiwifruit contains almost the same amount of Vitamin C as two oranges or five lemons, more Vitamin E than an avocado, the same amount of potassium as a banana and more fibre than four sticks of celery.
