Organicfood.com.au has created this privacy statement in order to demonstrate our firm commitment to privacy. We respect your privacy, and will not disclose it to third parties except as required to fulfil the ordinary course of our business operations.
We collect your contact information (such as your email address), unique identifiers (like your member log in and password) and credit card information to facilitate payment for your order. Contact information from the order form is used to send orders and information about our company to you. Financial information that is collected is used to bill customers for any products provided.
If you tell us that you do not wish to have any of the information you provide to be used as a basis for further contact with you (for example, receipt of our monthly newsletter), we will respect your wishes. All of our newsletters will explain how you can unsubscribe from the service if required.

Personal Information
A representative of Organicfood.com.au may contact you by telephone to resolve any questions we might have about your order. Your personal details (e.g user name, password) allow us to verify that you are a registered customer and prevent anyone else who may have access to your computer from ordering in your name without your express permission. You should protect this password as carefully as you would your other personal banking information.
Security
We take all reasonable steps to store your personal information securely. We want you to feel comfortable when dealing with us via the Internet and email communication. We understand that many customers are fearful about inputting personal information in this manner. Only specific employees or sub-contractors in our customer care, marketing, store, warehouse systems and IT areas have access to our customers' personal information, and only under strict controls and procedures.
We use a process called Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology. We use industry standard 128 bit encryption. SSL locks all critical information passed from you to us, such as payment information, in an encrypted envelope, making it extremely difficult for this information to be intercepted. Credit Card details are not permanently stored on our website. We use 1024 bit encryption for temporary storage. The card number is stored until the order process has been finalised, after which time it is deleted from our system. Consequently, your credit card number must be entered by you for each new order.
