Are all your products certified organic? All products on our website are certified organic and we do not substitute organic products for non-organic products. If a product does not have a stamp of certification, we do not stock it.
How do I register for your online food shopping site? Easy…click on the word “register” in the menu at the top of the screen, and fill in the information required. Should take less than 5 minutes. You need to select a user name and password, which will then allow you to log in and shop at the site thereafter.
Now I've registered to buy organic food online, will I automatically be logged into the website? No...for security reasons you will then need to log in.
Help, I've forgotten my password Don't worry...simply click on the link underneath the log in area on the bottom left of the page, and you will be prompted to enter your email address. We'll then email you your user name and password immediately.
What if I want to speak to someone about my healthy eating needs instead of emailing/using the Internet? No problem at all… call us on 02-9967-9967; if we are out of the office, our machine is designed to take messages of up to 5 minutes, so you can even leave a long order!
Is there a minimum amount I need to order? Yes, the minimum amount for any order is $48.50 (excludes delivery). Note: All credit card payments are securely transacted via Eway; read all about Australia's leading payment gateway at http://www.eway.com.au. So you can rest easy knowing you can shop safely on our site!
How does the organic mixed box system work? It is designed to be a convenient, stress free service. Essentially, once you have found the box that suits you from our four boxes of fresh, seasonal fruit and vegetables (Classic, Big Classic, Fruit Fantasy, Eat Your Greens), you can select how often you would like to receive your delivery... weekly, fortnightly or simply a one off delivery. Hence you don’t need to phone or order via the internet each week. Click here to order one of our mixed boxes.
What if I am going away or don’t need organic food that week Simple…just send us a quick email to orders@organicfood.com.au or call us on 9967-9967. Then let us know how long you want to suspend the service for, and we will recommence after that. What goes into the organic mixed boxes and can I change it? Our boxes contain a mix of top quality, fresh, seasonal organic fruit and vegetables. We try to vary things slightly each week to give you a good variety of produce, and to allow you to try different products. If there are any items you never want (most households have a few 'never eat' items!), simply let us know at the time of your first order, either in the ‘special instructions’ part of the order process, or by phone/email. If you ever receive an item in your box which you don’t want again, just let us know. Which is the best organic mixed box for me? That depends on the size of household you are shopping for, and how much fruit and veg you use each week. Even household sizes can mislead, as a healthy, vegetarian house of 2 can sometimes need more than another family of 5! Click here for more details. Tell me about the Classic box The Classic Box is a mix of fruit, vegetable and salad items, designed for the small household (say 2-3 people). It typically contains 18 different types of produce. The mix between fruit, vegetables and salad items varies with the seasons. In winter there will be more veggies and in summer more fruit. A great intro to organic produce as you get a taste of a wide variety of items. Tell me about the Big Classic Larger version of the classic, containing an even wider variety of fruit, vegetable and salads (typically 20 different items) and more volume of some of the items included in the classic box. Designed for a larger family (say 4-5 people). Tell me about the Eat Your Greens A veggie’s delight, this contains about 10 types of vegetable and salad items. In winter, more dominated by wholesome vegetables great for soups, in summer filled with more leafy greens, salads and Mediterranean style vegetables. Tell me about the Fruit Fantasy A pure fruit fix, filled with 8 seasonal fruits. Will include more gourmet items than you would find in the classic box. What about a combination of your organic mixed boxes? Many of our customers combine the Eat Your Greens with a Fruit Fantasy for their weekly fruit and veg needs. This works for healthy households, who cook with fresh produce every night, and consume a few pieces of fruit per day. This is the ultimate combo for the health conscious house! Can I add extra items to my organic mixed box? Absolutely, many of our customers do just this. Given the variety you find week to week in the boxes, if you want certain items every week, let us know and we will add a standing custom order to add it to your box. This could be a couple of avos, a clove of garlic, an extra lettuce or a broccoli…just let us know. Equally if you wish to add some staple grocery items to your mixed box each week (such as eggs, cheese, milk, yoghurt etc) then this can be done. Just tell us once and it will come each week with your box. What if I like to know exactly what I am getting each week? No problem, customising an order is for you. As well as our extensive array of fruit and vegetables, we also have a wide variety of grocery items across a huge range of categories from pasta to juice, soup to confectionary. It is all organised for you in simple to use categories. By simply using the easy to use shopping facility on our website, or calling us on 9967-9967, you can place your order. Click on the 'shopping' menu item above to have a browse through our wide range of categories and products. This way, you can order precisely the fruit, vegetables, salad and grocery items you want each week. Remember, unlike the mixed boxes, this system of ordering won't automatically come to you every week, the order will need to be placed every week at your convenience. What is the deadline for ordering? For Tuesday deliveries, you need to have orders in by Monday 12pm. For Wednesday you need to have orders in by Tuesday 12pm and for Thursday deliveries by Wednesday 12pm . This is necessary to allow us time to order fresh produce from our suppliers. See full details in the Delivery section for the website. What if an item I order is out of stock? Just be aware that part and parcel of the current organic industry is unavailability of stock. We like to know that none of our produce is GM or artificially created, but the flip side is that things are unavailable from time to time. A small price to pay for great, natural produce! If you order one of our mixed boxes, we will ‘behind the scenes’ substitute any item that is out of stock with a similar item. So you always get a full, balanced complement of products in a mixed box. If you have custom ordered via our shopping cart, you will not receive a substitute unless you tell us to do so. The only exception would be say if Gala apples are unavailable we would substitute Fuji apples. But if broccoli was unavailable we would not substitute cauliflower unless you told us to always try and substitute.
Can I change items once they have been added to my shopping basket? Yes, no need to empty the whole cart each time. You go into your shopping cart by clicking on one of the links - either just above the 'Quick Links' section, or at the very top of the page (next to logon and register). Once there you can either delete an item if you no longer wish to purchase it (by clicking the delete button next to that item) or change the number of items ordered by changing the number ordered and clicking 'update cart'.
